Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Happy Monday!!!  I hope you are having a splendid day, and that you are ready to see TONS of inspiration from a TON of super talented ladies.

A bunch of us are doing a blog hop today with a coffee theme, in honor of National Coffee Day!

I don't know about you, but I NEED my coffee in the mornings, or you don't even want to be around me!!!

We thought it would be cool to answer a few coffee questions, so here goes.....

1. When did you start drinking coffee?  I can't even remember when, but I do know it was a very long time ago!!

      2. What is favorite brand (you can name up to three).  My absolute favorite is Starbucks, hands down!

3. What is the most amazing coffee that you had? Remember where and when?  I'd say my most amazing coffee is the 1st one I have every morning....seriously!

4. If I don't drink my needed coffee, I will.....  I really can't even think about this.....I'd hate to see what would happen!

Did I  mention that we have prizes??  We have 15 prizes to be exact - and winners will be drawn at random from all comments on the blogs!!!  Thanks to these fabulous sponsors:

Here is my card:

My Simon Says Stamp Card Kit for October arrived just in time for this hop!!!  I LOVE this months kit!  Ahhhh....that sweet little k-cup sitting there is my absolute favorite in the mornings!!

Would you like to link up and join us??

Head on over to Chaitali's blog - and join in the fun

I hope you are enjoying the hop and, good luck~!

Sketch For You to Try

WOW- it's been over 2 months since I've posted anything on my blog!  Guess I've just not had much to say.  We had this past week off of work, didn't go anywhere, but had a very relaxing week at home.  I do so LOVE not being on a schedule!  I like to wake up
when I want to, drink my coffee, check email, etc at my own pace in the mornings.  I do kind of feel my mojo returning.

I haven't felt like stamping much over the past few months, and it seems like a lot of my "stampy" friends have been going thru the same thing.  I'm glad to be getting the urge back, since it is my therapy and stress reliever.

My card today is for the SFYTT Challenge

Here is my card -

I love this new set from Reverse Confetti - So Very Special and the new die cut set called Tag Me Too!
Loving them both!!!

Watercoloring Class

I signed up for a Watercoloring class online, and
I'm finally getting a chance to play around a little bit.

I used my Sakura koi watercolors for this card -
I applied them directly to an acrylic block,
 stamped them onto the paper,
and then added some water to them.
The paper is Tim Holtz WC paper, and it kinda totally
rocks!!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog -
I'll keep posting my practice cards!

The Card Concept Challenge

I decided to play along at
this week.
The challenge was to use an umbrella.

I pulled out my Unity Hodgepodge of Happiness -
which hasn't seen ink in a VERY LONG TIME!

Here is my umbrella card -

I've been pulling out my Copics more and more lately...
I got rid of most of mine about a year or so ago,
and only kept my favorite colors to play with.
I may need to add a few more to my collection.

I definitely went with the clean and simple approach with my card,
which is what I mostly stick to.  Every now and again, I'll
think outside the box.
The umbrella is paper pieced with Fancy Pants
Park Bench designer paper.
I'd LOVE to have an umbrella like hers,
wouldn't you?!

Thanks for stopping by today - I appreciate it.

It's been a while.

I found a few challenges to play along with and though

Card Concept Challenge

These weekends seem to go quicker and quicker,
don't they??  Even lost an hour of sleep this weekend
with daylight savings time!

I spent a lot of time this weekend working on some
ATC's that I needed to get done for an ATC
trade over at SCS.  They were so much fun!
I'll share a little peek at the bottom of this blog post,
let me know what ya think.

I found a little extra time to play along with the challenge over at

I used a new set I recently got from Hero Arts called
Need Caffeine

I went with some SC veneer stars and some washi tape
at the bottom.

What a fun quick card!

Here is a little peek at my ATC's that I made
for the swap:

This was definitely a fun swap, but I don't know
that I'd sign up for 5 spots next time!  :)

Thanks for stopping by today.

Virginia's View Challenge Card

WARNING: MANY MANY SHEETS OF WATERCOLOR
PAPER WERE RUINED DURING THIS CARDMAKING PROCESS!
AS WELL AS A PERFECTLY GOOD MANICURE!

Ok, so I'm thinking outside my box and trying some new and different
things.  I saw a new challenge blog Virginia's View and wanted to play along
with the watercoloring challenge.

Here is the inspiration pic from the challenge blog -

Looked easy enough, all the cool girls are playing along,
yeh.....I GOT THIS!!!

pffffffffttttt..............

Little did I know, the mess that was about to transpire, right
here on my kitchen counter!!!

I used some of my SU reinkers to do this.  I cut my watercolor panel
and then got it fairly wet with a paint brush, and then dropped some of the reinkers
onto it.  From there, I can't really tell you what I did....it was a craft free-for-all!
There was also black ink involved, which now, also resides under all of
my fingernails and on the kitchen counter.

I embossed the sentiment from Reverse Confetti's Lots to Say and topped it
off with a few pearls.  Now I'm off to try to get this off of my fingernails and
get them repainted.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Little Tangles Monochromatic

It's been a while since I was here!
Got a new (much better) job, and have been
exhausted when I get home at night.
It's cool to actually enjoy your boss and to have
a good time during the hours of 9am-5pm!
Who knew!!!???

I found some time/energy to create a little bit today,
and of course, my creativity was still unaccounted for!

I got my newest Unity Stamp of the Week and this was the best
I could do today!

Found a fun monochromatic challenge to play along with at

Hopefully, my creativity will return to its regularly scheduled program....
VERY SOON!!!
